Dental Receptionist/Scheduling Coordinator

An immediate opening is available at a busy Astoria office for a Dental Receptionist.
At least TWO years of front desk experience at a DENTAL office are required. Many of our patients are Spanish speaking, so conversational knowledge of Spanish is required. Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Dentrix 4G
Proficient in recall and recare
Major PPO's and Medicaid billing
Benefits verification, copay calculation and collection
Ability to explain basic dental procedures and treatment plans
Must be efficient, reliable, organized, personable, energetic and able to multitask and keep the schedule full for the dentists and the hygienist. Must be able to check insurance, promptly and politely collect co-payments and cash payments and keep track of our recall system. You will not have to file any claims, but should know the proper in and out of network reimbursement rules.
We are looking for someone who is positive and cheerful and understands the clinical needs of the office and is interested in keeping our patients happy and satisfied with their over-all experience.
This is a full time position. Health insurance will be available after 1 year of employment. Please email cover letters and resumes with verifiable references.
